GRATITUDE FROM SITE LEADERS AND TEACHERS:
“I feel so blessed to have had an opportunity to meet you this year, and especially to broaden our collaboration! I look forward to working with you this summer on guest speakers. Looking forward to continued collaboration as your vision is so important to showcase & share with other students!
What a great program! I was glad to see my students engaged by asking questions and doing the activities and playing Kahoot. Thank you, Annika.
"Students are so glad to have this program. Although the storm has passed, its raining a lot but we are fine. The students are here. They want to see Dr. Marsan as she is from Haiti. They have never interacted with such professionals before. Thank you for inspiring us."
"Thank you for all you did for our students. We appreciated Jobs of Tomorrow program."
"Thanks for the opportunity. We have more questions on ransomware attacks for the speaker. How can we contact him? When is the next presentation?"
"We had 27 WhatsApp groups with each group having a average of 200 children. We did WhatsApp groups for participants who did not have internet connections strong or reliable enough to watch the live broadcasts on Facebook or YouTube. Our teams of volunteers were busy posting all updates from your sessions in the WhatsApp groups as you spoke. This has a tremendous impact. I was deeply touched by rural schools in Malawi and Zambia where they opened schools halls for children and parents to gather so they could watch the Festival."
"Thankyou for making it free for public. So everybody can access and students get benefit to be more innovative."
"It is my pleasure to say how amazing Jobs of Tomorrow has been for the students. My students have had the chance to learn about jobs that [are] attainable for them and can be theirs in the future. Having presenters come and give my students the chance to open their minds to bigger questions has also helped my students be more social and ask more questions. My students and I appreciate the presenters and Annika for taking the time to come to us and inspire us."
"Jobs of Tomorrow program is unique as it is the first program that is bringing professionals from different fields to speak to the students directly. The students are learning a lot by getting direct exposure to different STEM fields."
"The 2021 Africa Science Buskers Festival would not be a success without Annika. She helped in organizing and hosting five inspirational speakers in the Festival."
